Returning Books

During the current National Lockdown, fines for books returned late are currently suspended. It is important that you return reserved book/s as another student needs them.

If you live close to one of our libraries, books can be returned at the following book drop facilities:

  • Aldrich: book drop bin at the top of the stairs in Cockcroft building, outside the entrance to the Aldrich library. Accessible Monday to Friday 8am – 6.30pm. Unicard required to access building.
  • Falmer: book drop located inside the building by the library shutter. Accessible Monday to Friday 9.30am – 6pm. Unicard required to access the building
  • Queenwood: book drop bin outside library main entrance, accessible 24/7 SPH: return books through the front door letter box, accessible 24/7.

If you are not able to get to a library, then use the Royal Mail freepost option instead.

Accessing Resources

There is a click and collect service at each library. If you are unable to travel to a library your Information Adviser can discuss alternative resources with you. This may include posting a limited number of books to you. Online resources are available via your library subject guide and if you need advice or support in accessing these or other resources then please contact your Information Adviser. You’ll find their contact details on your subject guide or email
