SPORT COACHING & EXERCISE SCIENCE: EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICE

What is evidence-based practice?

Evidence-based medicine [practice] is "the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. The practice of evidence-based medicine means integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research" (Sackett et al, 1996).

Understanding how to find evidence to support your clinical decision making or to support an academic argument is very important. On this page are resources to help you find this evidence and further understand the concept of EBP.
